What are weeds but flowers that no one loves?

Emily we had a pear tree that produced fruit with thick leathery skin and little juice. It stayed in the garden for several seasons longer than it should have as I felt so mean denying it life just because the fruit didn't meet my expectation.
So yes I do know what you mean!

I have a huge problem removing the flowers or baby fruit from newly planted fruit trees (which is recommended to allow the tree to put it's energy into growing instead of producing fruit). I also have a well established large lemon tree which has been very productive over the years until it was severely cut back by severe frost two winters ago. The poor tree has struggled, looks awful and should come out, but I feel as if I should still give it another chance - too soft to say 'chop chop'!

I have a problem with picking flowers,they look gorgeous on the plant and will only last a short while in a vase.
