Things that are making me smile today

I've been in the garden, and found that my tarragon has tiny shoots on it, I've got self seeded coriander seedlings and my daphne bushes are flowering and smell beautiful.

What is making you smile today?

Looking out from my office window earlier today the colourful fat pheasant was mooching around the lawn underneath the huge oak tree, the grapefruit tree and the macadamia nut tree, having a fossick here and an energetic peck there. It is a daily ritual for him (provided there are no grandchildren running around) and yesterday he brought with him his lady pheasant as he does every so often. They always brighten up my day and come year in and year out. (No cats or dogs live here).

A couple of weeks ago in the garden we also had a NZ spotted dove doing the same circuit as the pheasants. First time I have seen one of these in our back yard. As a matter of interest my husband, several weeks ago began writing down all the birds he has seen on our farm and so far he is up to 27 different species.
Regards,
Dawn.

My snowdrops are flowering. They're so sweet.
