Lilies In Pots. August 22, 2017 09:30AM |

My lilies are in pots where I grew them for the first time last year. After flowering I put them in the garden in their pots and put them back on the deck about six weeks ago.Should they have new shoots up by now as the weather has been warmer or is it still to early for this to happen?I am worried that they might have rotted.I know that I can still buy new bulbs but don't know if it's too late to plant now.Any help thanks?

Hi Helen I have the Christmas type and oriental in pots and after good advice I received here I put the pots out in the garden for the winter.I sat inside on very wet days looking at them thinking surely these might rot.I put them back on the deck a few weeks back and during august because we had had good warm weather I thought that they ought to have been coming up.I obviously just panicked as it was too early for this to happen and now during the last couple of days they are coming through. All is well now thank you and I will learn more as I go along.
