I went to buy some more rain lilies (zephyranthes) for my garden and was horrified by the price - $10 each.
As there are people who have mass plantings I assume there are cheaper options somewhere.
Does anyone know?

As they are grown from bulbs, they have probably been amassed by self propagation over a period of time; unless, of course, the owners had plenty to spend on plantings!

Just thought I'd also add that Kauri Park nurseries at Kaiwaka also sell them for $2.50 - bulk, mass planting.

Thanks Dawn. I have 2 boxes of 20 plants coming today so guess what I'll be doing over the wet weekend....

They are really quite extraordinary little plants. I planted them one day and they were flower the next.
