mango lassi

Had a go at making a mango lassi drink but it didn't taste as nice as the ones in Indian restuarants. Does anyone have any suggestions for amounts of mango and yoghurt - I see sometimes milk is added too.

This is the recipe I have for mango lassi, it's from Taste Magazine.

Mango & banana lassi with whole fruit
Ingredients:
3 bananas
3 x 425g cans mangoes in light syrup, drained
1kg plain unsweetened yoghurt
2 tsp cardamom seeds, crushed
200ml milk
2 Tbsp caster sugar
2 Tbsp pistachio nuts, crushed
Method:
Peel 2 of the bananas and put them in the bowl of a food processor or large blender with 2½ cans of the mangoes. Add as much yoghurt as will fit and the cardamom seeds. Blend until smooth.

Transfer mixture to a jug or bowl and whisk in any remaining yoghurt and the milk. Taste and add sugar to sweeten. Refrigerate until chilled; the lassi can be made several hours ahead.

Spoon lassi into serving glasses and drop in pieces of whole fruit. Garnish with pistachio nuts and serve.
