Whole allspice hasn't been available for at least a couple of years as far as I know and I was delighted yesterday, while looking for another spice, to find whole allspice in Mrs Rogers Naturals range at New World. I bought 3 packets so I'd be ready to go with next summer's tomato sauce making session. Just thought I'd mention it as I know other's were looking for it too.

That was a good gind Dawn, will the spice or any spice still be very strong in a few months. I wonder if they lose any flavour over any length of time.

I 'm not entirely sure about that Lyn and can only go by the fact that it's in a sealed bag within the package and the 'Use By' date is 3/18. So I pretty much think it should be OK in terms of strength otherwise a use by date of 2018 wouldn't be stamped on the packaging surely? I will be using it next February/March 2017.
