I've been out of town, and on my return found I'd won the Foodlovers prize draw for a $150 Hopgoods Restaurant voucher! So yesterday evening a friend and I had a wonderfully indulgent meal there - my main was venison eye fillet with chestnut polenta, celeriac, wild mushrooms and fig confit - beautifully plated, almost too pretty to eat. The service there is exemplary, as is the food - its reputation as Nelson's top restaurant is well-deserved. So thank you Foodlovers, and Silver Fern Farms who provided the voucher!
