Can anyone tell me how to cook Asparagus..?

I like to cook in the microwave.............shallow dish fill with water and add asparagus....cook for about 6 mins on high till just tender and serve with melted butter and pepper and salt.

I just rinse mine off, bung in a plastic bag, and zap in the microwave for 2 minutes. The other way we like it, is rinsed and zapped in the microwave for 30 seconds, tossed in oil, then popped in a hot oven for 5-10 minutes until still crisp but golden. Or as before and grilled on the bbq.

I like it either microwaved, which I think brings out the asparagus flavour really well, or coated with olive oil and roasted.

I'm a microwave fan, too, but I cook mine with just a little water, lots of lemon juice and a dash salt and pepper.
