"good morning" recipe June 09, 2004 05:17AM |
Did anyone note down the recipe on the good morning show last week that was a layered bowl with semidried tomatos, cream cheese mixture(?) , basil pesto, more cheese mix, tomato pesto and finished with cheese mix again. chilled and tipped out . It was served with little vogal toasts and looked stunning.
I have looked on the nzoom site but their recipes are not archived at the moment
Does any one have a similar recipe. It looked very easy to make and presented really well. I just caught the un-molding part of the segment and missed the actual cheese mix ingredients.
thanks
Alaine

Thankyou for the quick replies
Yes Helen it looks very much like it. I will have a "home trial" this weekend and if it gets the thumbs up I will add it to my supper menu for a party we are planning next month.
I can't wait. It's the first time in ages I have had the time and energy to do some really special eats for our friends. I think I might just have to show off a little:}

Just a little post in praise of Ruth Pretty if I'm allowed!!
I travelled from NZ for my sister's wedding in Scotland in April and she told me about wanting some chocolates as favours. I told my sister I had a fantastic recipe and would make them as the Ladies Favours at her wedding! She had ordered some Thornton's Champagne Truffles, but I told her I could make her some, so she cancelled!! I didn't take the recipe with me from NZ, but found Ruth while searching the internet. She didn't hesitate in sending me the truffle recipe, to which my UK rellies were absolutely gobsmacked! The truffles were fabulous and we put them in little pergamano cases - ideal.
So thank you to Ruth Pretty:}

you can go to "Good Morning" web site
[tvone.nzoom.com]
and find all the recipes there. I understand that "Ruth Petty" is cooking on the show every Friday morning and her recipes look very yummy.
If they are not at the site just drop an email to Good Morning show. I have in the past ,they were very helpful
