We too have a Westinghouse Virtuoso, & we decided on this because of the cast iron cooking thingys (my mind has gone blank) - that the pot rests on above the flame. Much longer lasting, & they were'nt going to chip or flake bits of paint off with time. The bbq grill plate though is a nasty one to clean as Linda said - I remember a discussion a while ago on seasoning a cast iron plate, so I wonder if that would help.
