Hi Everyone,
After a week that has passed in a flash and was a bit of a rollercoaster ride, I'm here checking my emails etc, listening to the rainbow lorrikeets in a tree outside the open window chattering to each other and making an occasional squawk, and with a lovely G & T to hand.
This week my manager was told she had a bladder tumour, which thankfully turned out to be benign, a potentially difficult meeting with a large customer was the complete opposite; I mastered a new computer tool at work; covered another position at work as well as my own and managed ok; caught up with a dear friend for her birthday; won a (small) prize on the radio station I listen to and saw the film Hidden Figures.
I often forget to be grateful for the small things but not today.

Great post Heather and like you I too have had a bit of a rollercoaster week.
I am very grateful that today I managed to walk around the Orakei Basin with my dog - 10 days ago I would have laughed at being happy for something so small and was walking at least double that distance.
I am also happy that this health glitch may have triggered a reminder of things that are good for me and things that are not so.
