Makeup stains on black puffer vest collar

Does anyone have any helpful tips for my daughter please?! She has old makeup (foundation) marks on the collar of her black polyester puffer vest which she can't seem to remove. (Vest is filled with down and feathers). The vest is still in great condition apart from these marks so without taking to drycleaners, would welcome any advice! Thanks in advance!

Anne I wash puffer jackets in the machine and then put them in a dryer with a tennis ball (to help fluff feathers apparently).
I would probably give it a scrub with sard soap.
Has she tried washing it?

Before washing rub a little glycerine on the stain.....maybe try it in an unseen area first but if you leave it for around 30 mins it should soften the makeup leaving the washing to do the job.
I agree about Sard soap, too....I always carry some of that when I am travelling.

Thanks Helen and Marnie! She hasn't washed it as we were not sure if feathers/down could go in the machine!
Will try the Sard soap and / or glycerine. Thanks for advice!!

Meant to follow up on this post but forgot! The Sards soap worked wonders. Instant
removal of makeup! Excellent result!
