Out and About in Auckland

Hi there,
I have a 15 month old daughter and as a food lover love going out and about in Auckland to nice places to eat and have a latte etc. However, some places don't seem to like me when I turn up with the little one - can you all let me know great familiy friendly places to eat out and any that may have a wee area where the adorable one can stretch her legs or play in a sandpit etc.
I know of one that has just opened in the Benson Road Shops in Remuera called The Maple Room - fantastic (albeit smallish) courtyard and amazing food. Even have a large blackboard and chalk for kids to be artistic!
Looking forward to hearing ideas.
Cheers
Steph

Another website worth looking at is www.kidsfriendlynz.com it has a few places around Auckland that are child-friendly.
Plus we have just used it for our holiday down to Levin (lower North Island) and it was great, as it covers the whole of the NZ.
PS I know you don't need it now - but Levin has an awesome playground from 18 month olds to teenages. After two hours playing there, mum and dad wanted to go - not the kids!

On a slightly different slant... Heading to Ak for a 'Trade' do, but combining it with 2 sessions at the canine hydrotherapy centre in Albany (Dog jacuzzi, for dog recovering from major leg surgery). Haven't been to Albany for centuries, are there any dog walking areas in the vicinity? How about dog-friendly cafe`s...outside of course?
Thanx
