hi am making my son wedding cake and they want to have a chocolate cake layer. Does anyone have a recipe that is good for this it has to travel well, it is at least 5 hour trip to wedding so going the day before. Hi I love preowned cookbooks as well. Every op shop i pass i have to go in and have a look to see if there is one that i have not got you never know you may come across a real gem. Hi i have just gone to do my shopping at woolworths in new plymouth and they no longer stock surebake i even went to the other woolworths but no they no longer have it. i also love cookbooks especially new zealand ones also, I have just got the alison holst bread book after reading about on here. I am on a limited budget so i get my cookbooks from the local hospice shop or garage sales so who can complain when i got the above book for 20c and in was in great condition. bread maker not mixing correctly - 16 years ago
hi i have just been asked a question by my brother in law. He has got a breville bakers oven BB280 where it does not mix probably it has a corner where the flour is not mixed in. I have not had this problem myself so i am hoping that some one here can help us with this problem they only just got the breadmaker at the weekend. HI I just got from a garage sale a very good looking Beville Big Loaf bread maker after giving up on my sunbeam one. But alas no instruction book. I am playing around with receipes and have googled for manual but alas no luck. Penny G if you could just give me the receipe for white bread that would be a great help i can go from there. Hi I have an electric wok ( I think i have every electric applicance just about) and i love it. I find it very good for stir fry not messy easy to clean and it does seem to get hot enough, I think that you do have to buy a good quantity one thru not a cheap and nasty one. cheers carolynby carolynab - Foodlovers Food Talk

hi my old mums receipe is a bit different broke up sponge and drain a tin of boynesberries but the juice over the sponge and then put the boynesberries over this. Then make a instant pudding with half the milk required. whip cream and mix with the instant pudding and then pour over sponge and there you have a great trifle enjoyby carolynab - Foodlovers Food Talk

hi i really enjoy doing baking from cookbooks that have been put out by clubs, groups, scouts etc. The old tried and true receipes i just love these, i get them from second hand shops etc. but i also love the taste mag i do have a bookcase full of cookbooks from donna hay to jamie oliver so i have the glossy nice books to. but i do like the old put together books carolynby carolynab - Foodlovers Food Talk

hi guys thanks so much for this thread i thought it was just me who was having trouble. my old bread maker which i got from a garage sale and it lasted 3 years made prefect bread. but my new sunbeam bakehouse i have not had one good loaf from it at all i was very disappointed with it but now i will try what you have suggested thanks so much. i am glad it is not me alone carolynby carolynab - Foodlovers Food Talk
