MEAT LOAF WITH APRICOT SAUCE 1 Large onion chopped and cooked in a little butter in the microwave add that to a large mixing bowl 1 teaspoon of crushed garlic 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger 1 tablespoon of HP sauce or tomato sauce good dash of worchester sauce good dash of soya sauce 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder also I add a small spoon ful of made mustard I use Coleman Hoby Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

I cook corned silverside in gingerale and a orange cut into quarters.....it tastes really nice.......the only down side if you want to make the mustrad sauce from the edmonds book....the vinegar/golden syrup mixture is better....by Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

If you have a slow cooker/crock pot........that is the way to go.add the veggies and potatoes together with a can of tomatoes and some herbs and spices and you have a very nice tasty meal.by Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

Depending if you are having a buffet or a plated meal....if you are plating the meal you would allow 150g cooked meat...per perosn but with buffet people tend to eat more perhaps 200g +by Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

Had these for dinner last night....the recipe sort of "envolved" started by cooking sliced mushrooms in butter and garlic....added cooked diced bacon, along with cooked chopped chicken and some diced red pepper.......add a good "splosh of cream" and some fresh parsley and thyme..then a spoonful of Dijon mustard and thicken that with cornflour and water.......let the mixture coby Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

Sorry all in old imperial measurement Russian Slice 5 ozs butter 4 ozs sugar 1 tbsp g/syrup 9 ozs flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanillla essence 1 egg 3/4 cup sultanas Melt butter, sugar, golden syrup in a pot, stir until well mixed. I have found the recipe !!!! Here goes !! Chinese Style Roast Çhicken. 1 chicken or pieces. Salt, 50g root ginger chopped, 2 cloves garlic crushed, 2 tbspn soy sauce, 1 tbspn golden syrup, 2 tsp sherry. Rub salt all over chicken, mix remaining ingredients together. I do a nice spring cabbage which is really nice..shred cabbage finely..melt a good big knob of butter in a dish in the microwave.....add the cabbage and stir to coat....then add some lemon pepper seasoning and cover with a paper towel and cook for 30 secs.... on HIGH then stir..then cook for a further 30-60secs on HIGH. Help Lost my recipe - 14 years ago
I had a recipe for a boiled fruit/xmas cake....it used mixed dried fruit and 1 cup of nuts you placed the fruit and butter and a tin of sweetened condensed milk into a saucepan and boiled let cool then added the dry ingredients and eggs... and I think possibly had sherry/whisky poured over it...and possible one of Alison Holst's recipes..Hoping someone can helpby Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

Helen last sunday we popped into Planters In Miramar and visited the Chocolate Frog cafe.....my partner had the cream cheese and smoked salmon bagels which was very nice and I had a piece of their date loaf.....the best Ive tasted in a long while....would love to have the recipe !!!!!by Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

I would be inclinded to roast these for around 20 mins at 200 deg C but I always poke a knife into them to test for doneness.....I normally go by that method rather than a set time.by Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

This is an old recipe of my mothers that I came across the other day, which she used to make years and years ago......sorry the measurements are all in imperial but Im sure you could easily convert. Some one suggested using Flemings Whole Grain Rolled Oats and then use a Hand Stick to whizz them to a fine consistancy. Hope this helps ...when you have a hankering for a certain food and its no longer available the craving esculates.by Fleur - Foodlovers Food Talk

I made a pot of homemade veggie soup on Thursday night, with split peas, soup mix,bacon hock and chopped veggies. Froze a few containers and the rest I put in the fridge in a glass bowl. Took some to a friend yesterday and when I told her what was in the soup. she replied with parsnip and swede in this is will turn sour and go off if kept in the firdge for a few days?? Short Pastry 8ozs flour 1/4 tsp salt 4ozs butter 1 tsp Edmonds Baking Powder Cold water to mix Sift flour and salt rub in butter with the tips of the fingers add baking pwder and mix to a very stiff dough with a little water (if too much water is used the pastry will be tough).
