My santa rosa plum tree is flowering now! what on earth is going on…… it is the beginning of april, not even close to spring!
We are north west of Auckland. Can anyone tell me, should I remove the flowers or just ignore the silly tree?
Thanks
Sharon

We're in South West Auckland, our neighbour's Billington's Early has several flowers and our Hawera is putting on new leaves. The family horticulturist says just to leave them and the flowers will fall off. We've also got a few unseasonal flowers on a kowhai. It's the unseasonal heat.

Yes my Kowhai had a few flowers on it last week, here in west Auckland.

I have a Satsuma Plum that I had only planted last winter and struggled to keep alive through Northlands drought and now it is putting on new leaves. What should I do??
