Herb Planter lining

Hi There!

I am thinking of buying a herb planter box, and I have been told to line it, but there is some confusion. I always thought you lined garden stuff with black plastic, but they are talking about polyurethane which is a chemical paint and I am concerned the chemicals could leak into the soil and either make the soil bad or the herbs sick or worse still, us.

Anyone able to give some advice?

Hmm, maybe you or someone is getting confused between polythene and polyurethane. Polythene (also known as polyethylene) is the name for the black plastic you're thinking of, e.g. [www.peppardbuildingsupplies.com]

Thanks. Yeah, possibly.
I assume you line it, then staple it or something, then poke holes in the bottom ?
