My star jasmine, which I grow as a climber, is behaving strangely this year. Since it finished flowering, it has been sending out a lot of new growth, long tendrils with just a couple of leaves. I have cut off one lot and now, they are growing again.
This is quite different from its normal behaviour where it does nothing at all after flowering until the following spring when new bushy growth appears prior to flowering.
I wonder if it is weather or water-related or is it trying to tell me something else.
Regards,
Barbara Anne
