We have a friend visiting from England who has expressed a liking for Rose Petal Jam. The recipe I have requires 1/2lb of petals. Is anyone able to help with some petals from an unsprayed Damask or heavily perfumed old fashioned rose bush so I can make our friend some jam? We live on the North Shore in Auckland and I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to collect them.

I have a rose in full bloom at the moment. Its a blood red, called Birthday present and it has the most divine perfume. If its any help, the rose petals are now just starting to fall. I can courier them to Auckland to you if you like, as I'm in Hamilton.
