Does anyone have a recipe they can share for (healthy)Bliss balls...especially the date ones.

I really like these bliss balls. Bliss Balls

I made some for a company recently that also had spirulina and protein powder in them.

While they are calorie laden you do have to eat something and I find that mid afternoon I get famished and that is when a bliss ball is perfect!

Ive made these ones for myself and the kids...
The recipe is from the [www.kidspot.co.nz] site.
I often don't bother with the seeds and tell the kids they are chocolate bombs!
Sometimes I don't even bother with the coconut but they look much better rolled in it and of course you get a nice nutty flavour.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups pitted dates
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
2 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp dark cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (45g) desiccated coconut, for rolling
Method:

Place all the ingredients, apart from the coconut, into a food processor and whizz for 45 seconds, or until the mixture looks like small, dark breadcrumbs.

Remove mixture from processor and empty into a bowl.

Scoop up little handfuls of the mix, squeeze together and roll into small balls. Then roll each ball through the desiccated coconut.
