Can anyone help
In the last 6 to 8 weeks in one of the magazines like N Z Women's Weekly, New Idea, Woman's Day, etc I'm not sure which one there was a recipe for a caramel slice. Shortcake top and bottom but not iced with caramel in the middle and you could add sultanas or nut.
Can anyone help with this recipe as I gave the book away before getting the recipe.

Margaret, although I didn't see the recipe in the magazines you mentioned, it answers to the description of the Chelsea Sugar Caramel Fruit Slice recipe which I just googled.
