While in Blenheim recently we had a delicious open steak sandwich (it might sound boring, but it was anything but!) at Rock Ferry Winery. Served with it was a relish which I'm thinking would be one of those ones which only keeps for a week or so in the fridge. It was mainly fresh apricots and dates with root ginger. I could also see mustard seeds and parsley. It didn't appear to have onion, garlic or vinegar in. Any ideas for a recipe? I did ask, but they don't sell it, nor do they part with the recipe.
