Im getting married in Feb 2019 and the trend today is to give to your guest an original/cute/useful/thoughtful small gift. (60 guests)
We would love the gift to be thoughtful and edible as well as original.
We would love to incorporate both my fathers Italian side and Phils parents honey.
Initially we thought about getting some Baci chocolates (kiss in Italian) or even the sugared almonds and just putting the honey into small jars with a note.
Has anyone got any other brainwaves?
Vanessa

Congratulations.
You could make (or have made) chocolates with the honey inside them. To incorporate the Italian, you could use Baci chocolate tablets and melt them down.

or make almond and honey chocolate: [www.magicofindianrasoi.com]
or you could make little olive oil and honey cakes (plenty of recipes on the net).

Love the idea of homemade chocolates but it is February and just wonder if keeping them cool without getting bloom or moisture on the chocolate will be difficult?
I love the idea of tiny jars of honey. That is such a lovely lasting memory for your guests. Maybe you could do an Otalian treat such as sugared almonds to go with it.

I also would love a tiny jar of honey, probably more than some of the more time consuming things and one which I could pop in my handbag and take out when we got home and add a teaspoon full to my tea or a lovely little breakfast/dessert addition even months later. Could the Italian side be a small jar of your dad's tomato sauce... it could be made well ahead, just enough to top a pizza or dress a single serve of pasta. I think you can get some lovely little preserving jars from kitchen shops. World famous in NZ

Sweet little 150ml preserving jars with screw tops and a fruit pattern on the outside, $12.00 for 6 jars.
