I had a very serendipitous food day today...
1) Making my own vinegar powder for home made popcorn and chips has long been on my 'Food DIY' list for one rainy day, but today I came across Cerebos' Salt and Vinegar salt (on special too). It went into my shopping trolley and I've just tried it on some toast and it's really good. I think I'll be having salt and vinegar popcorn for afternoon tea.
2) I was at DressSmart in Onehunga and the fire alarm went off so everyone trooped out. I couldn't be bothered waiting around so I walked up the the 'Hard to Find' secondhand bookshop which I've only ever been to once, many years ago. I was looking through the cookbook section and was very chuffed to find a copy of Digby Law's Soup Cookbook, then I found his Entree Cookbook and I was thinking it would be so amazing if they had a copy of his Vegetable Cookbook which I've wanted for many years and...I found it! I think I danced a little jig in the shop (very quietly). Isn't it funny where circumstances take you?

I have the Robertsons brand Salt and Vinegar seasoning which is from South Africa, I found it in the international isle of the supermarket (can't remember which one) but its really tangy vinegar flavored. I recently also bought the cerebos one which is much softer in flavour but quite nice on homemake oven chips, I bought the chicken one too which is really nice on homemade oven wedges with some dried mixed herbs - every loved them. Sprinkle on before roasting. Again the chicken flavor is softer than most chicken salts or seasoning,

@Irene Field: I found this method on the "Instructables" website [m.instructables.com] which involves vinegar, baking soda, coffee filters and a microwave. It doesn't look that hard.
An article on the Serious Eats website describes that another way of making vinegar powder is to mix vinegar with a starch, and then dry it. It quotes a recipe from 1615 that describes that method of making vinegar powder. I'm now thinking of trying that with vinegar and rice flour and drying it in my dehydrator. I think the "Instructables" method would give a more concentrated flavour, however.
