Avocado stones

Our woofer who is staying with us at the moment was telling us that her previous family grated and sautéed avocado stones as they are so good for you.
A little googling seems to support this.

Does anyone here eat them or have you ever eaten them?
If so are they gritty and what do they taste like? I realise you grate them but they just don't sound that appealling

Eating Avocado Stones.

Funnily enough I came across this a couple of days ago, but they have the opposite opinion.

Yes, I know a person who decided she needed more roughage in her diet so decided to incorporate the sweetcorn COB into her food. Needless to say she wound up in hospital.

I have read this many times but most occasions I have attempted to deal with the stone have not gone too well. You need to smash them and its dangerous to try and cut them .I read you should dry a few days then chop an blend but gave it up as too hard
