with such a mild summer, autumn & even winter (when will it arrive ) I still have many chillis hanging off their frost bitten plants in the garden, which leads me to answer your question Vanessa, with me finding & using a great recipe by Irene on FL here.
Irene has "tweaked" another recipe by Ruth Pretty, so look first for that site & Ruth's (Peter Gordon) recipe & then a search on here - from some years ago (ETA - 7 years actually !!)
Irene has reduced the sugar content somewhat, but also added balsamic instead of red wine vinegar, plus more chillis than the recipe states.
I made another batch last night with about 8 or 9 chillis & used frozen tomatoes (too expensive otherwise), so have another 2 jars on the benchtop for labels.
Re-reading your post, I'm not too sure if you meant for us to answer with retail brands of sauce, but if you are after a make your own, do try this one. Its plenty hot & with reduced sugar I'm more than happy.
Cheers,

Hi Mantilla. Thanks for posting that and I actually forgot about that recipe. We had a few trips to Thailand, so I was stockpiling bottles of Chilli sauce from there. But now we are getting to the end of them, and I can't see a trip to Thailand on the horizon, so this summer I will make this again.

sriracha, fan here as well, I like the brand that has the green noozle, with a picture of a rooster on it. Unfortunately tried a different one last time so can't let you know brand. Hubby makes an amazing smoked chilli sauce, but his chilli plants produced eye wateringly hot chilli's this year, so only eaten in small amounts....

We always have Trident hot chilli sauce and chipotle sauce in our fridge, and between the two of them they cover off most of the recipes and uses we have for chilli sauce. :-)
