Pork Belly Brine

This brine is from the recent Food Detective Programme, it looks really simple and delicious.
It totally makes sense to brine, Ive actually not thought of doing it but to avoid moisture being lost and plump up the meat so its melt in your mouth and juicy, Im sold.
Does anyone brine their meat?
