Has anyone had trouble buying Hansell's Jam setting mix since that arm of the company has been sold? What are we going to use instead. ? I have 2 packets left so can still do a couple of batches of Red Pepper Jelly but my friend in Wellington tried Pak 'n Save and New World and neither had it available.I know Barkers in Geraldine is using pectin in a lot of their new recipes to cut back on sugar so they must be getting it from somewhere. I am dubious about using the Chelsea jam setting sugar because I like to keep the sugar level down too. Hoping to hear, Jazpur

Countdown have it on special this week at $2 instead of $2.90. I don't know if the special ends tomorrow; probably does I usually just use lemon juice for jam making, don'tknow about red pepper jelly, though. I can't see why it shouldn't work just as well.
