I’m wanting to buy a stovetop waffle maker to use off grid. Does anyone have any experience of them. What sort of job do they do? Do they leak? Best brand? Thanks!

Rob, Where are you, and how much? It’s actually for my son and daughter-in-law, who live off grid. She had seen some at Stevens on special, but we’ve never used one. Thanks, Janet

I was lucky enough to get a Rome Industries stovetop Waffle maker, which works for my electric glass stove. Every waffle is good outside, crisp, and I use it to make vegetable pakora. When I received it for the first time, I was fully seasoned and it maintained good lubricity every time I used it. It is also suitable as a camping tool.

Janet or Emma, did you find a stove-top waffle maker? Stevens have them:
