What to do with kaffir lime fruit, not leaves

Hi all, I have been given 2 x Kaffir lime fruit. I know what to do with the leaves, but what does one do with the actual Kaffir fruit? Googling just gives me a whole of of info about using the leaves. Ideas/tips for using Kaffir FRUIT would be great please! Thanks!

I use the grated zest in curry pastes and in a Kaffir lime posset. You can use the zest instead of ordinary lime zest but be aware that the flavour is stronger and more perfumed so be discreet.

There usually isn't much juice in the fruit and what there is is bitter and very acid, so use sparingly with ordinary lime juice to enhance the flavour - say a tsp for every tab of lime juice.

I notice these are being labelled in supermarkets as "Makrut", possibly the "Kaffir" terminology is deemed offensive.

I agree, and in much food writing Makrut is the usual description. It will take a while for the change to become established though.

I saw a recipe the other day (not sure where) but they added Kaffir lime to marmalade.
