Hi everyone, I am wondering if , like me, other people are sick of those cheap paper muffin/cake cases from the supermarket. Half of the mixture stays stuck to the paper when one tries to peel them away. I have come up with a great solution - I now cut up GLAD baking paper into squares, and use those as paper baking cups. The only problem is that the paper will not sit well in the baking tins, I usually have to get my husband to hold them in place as I pour in the muffin mixture.
Does anybody use a good reliable paper muffin/cake case? I wish GLAD would just make some, using that awesome baking paper. The muffins come out of the trays no problem, and no mixture ever sticks to their paper. Would love to know your thoughts and suggestions.

Yes I too use baking paper as a liner for muffin tins as find that the non stick only lasts 5 minutes and then everything sticks.
I tend to do a waft of oil spray over the tins so that the baking paper sticks as yes it is a nuisance when it lifts back up again.
Sorry to sound pedantic but when using brand names you do need to put a trademark after the name. Otherwise I very quickly get emails from lawyers.

I use tulip muffin cases which I buy in the baking section of the supermarket - they are described as 'cafe style'. They come in packs of 24 in an acrylic cylinder, half brown and half white with a brown pattern. I daren't mention a brand name.
They are essentially on the same theme as Helen and Olive have described using baking paper but they have been pressed into shape by a process, so will stand alone without springing back. I recall watching a YouTube clip on how to make your own using a kitchen glass.
I prefer the 'tulip' shape to the traditional muffin/cupcake pans which leave a crusty 'lid' on the muffin.
Regards,
Barbara Anne
