Does anyone know where to buy these? I’m feeling the urge to have a wee play, but can’t seem to find suppliers in NZ. Surely there must be some. I did find one source selling 1kg bags, but thought that might be an overkill when I only need 1 or 2 grams for the recipe I want to try. Fingers crossed..... Janet

A quick GHoogle search came up with several on line source including Fishpond

You might find them at Simon Gautl's online shop Sous Chef.

Chris, these are used in molecular gastronomy for spherification and other tricks.

Thank you for the explanation, TPANDAV. That wouldn’t probably fit in with my cooking style.

Haha, you guys. I’ll probably only do it once! I looked at the soup chef shop, but they all have names I done recognise, so will keep looking. I found a fairly simple (apparently!) thermomix recipe so thought I’d try it. Thanks for the suggestion.
