I have a Braun MultiQuick 9 which is efficient. It has large and small processor bowls, plus whisk, pureé, chopper, dough 'hook', slicing, shredding, julienne & French fry attachments plus and a hand blender, too. All the components are activated with one slim, hand-sized motor. I bought it a year ago for $170 from Noel Leeming.
I'm wondering when manufacturers will start including a spiralizer with their multi-tool processors. On the recommendation of another forum member, I have just purchased an electric spiralizer from K-Mart which she recommends. I haven't received it yet, expect in a day or two, so I can't yet comment on it, but it was a very reasonable price so I took the plunch. I have had a couple of hand-held spiralizers both of which I found totally useless and difficult to manage.

I like Magimix, they have a very powerful motor and I think are worth the expense.
I have owned two: the first one lasted me for about 25 years of heavy use (with one replacement cutting blade), my present one, a 5100 model, is about 14 years old and shows no sign of needing repair or replacement.
It's worth getting one with a good sized bowl.

I have a large Cuisinart. The previous cuisinart I’d had for 25ish years andreplaced it because I could, not because I needed too. I bought the model with three different size bowls. I wanted the really grunty motor that would cope with anything, and liked the idea of the smaller bowls for smaller quantities, but I don’t very often use the smaller bowls. I haven’t every regretted buying this. IT is expensive but you will get many years of use from it.
