I would like to buy or borrow an Agee Preserver Manual or instruction book. If I could borrow one, I will copy it and return immediately. If anyone can help, would be very grateful.

Hi Gay

We have been fortunate enough to be able to borrow an Agee Preserver as we have a tree laden with nectarines, however, there was no mannual or instructions with it and wondering if you would be able to help me. Maybe scan and email or similar. Would be very grateful for any assistance.

Hey Team!
Does any1 know where I might get the Perfit Seal tops for Agee jars?
I have 10 jars & 5 screw rings. {I can get screw rings no problem.}

Ask at the supermarket they all have them but they are in various places in the various shops.

Hi all
I'm looking for a preserver with a thermostat/temperature starting with 28 degrees , this is for making Feta. Can anybody help, have you got one for sale perhaps?

I have for sale a stainless steel electric preserver.
Its thermostat range is 90 to 220 degrees F.
It takes16 pint jars.
I have the jar holder lifting tongs, advertising pamplet and recipy book to go with it
It can also be used water boiler.
It was manufactured by Morrison Industries Hastings.

Do either of the people who have advertised a preserver for sale still have one available? I am looking for a preserver with an element and a thermostat, the type that can be used as an urn as well as a water bath.

Hi,
just a warning here about some of the preserving recipes in the Agee manual. Do not use the receipes for fish and for non-acidic vegetables (e.g. beans) as water bath preserving does not get hot enough to destroy the botulism germ, so you run the risk of food poisoning from this type of preserve.
Only use the preserving recipes for acidic fruits, e.g. apples, pears, apricots, peaches, etc, and for tomatos(with added acid).
Here is a good USA web site for preserving recipes (they use the term "canning" for what we call preserving or bottling:

What do you think about the idea to use the Agee preserver for making cheese?
