My dad is a fan of opera, and has a birthday coming up. He has all the Pavarotti CD'S and DVD's from previous birthdays, Xmas, fathers days etc.
Excuse my ignorance, but I'm not a fan of opera. If you love Pavorotti, is Will Martin of a similar genre? I was thinking of getting Dad a Will Martin CD, since he;s a kiwi boy, but thought I'd better check out how "opera" he is compared to the others.
TIA.
Linda.

Paul Potts is the name of the competition winner. He has a C.D. out called One Chance, which I have. May pay to find out if your Father likes Andre Bocelli. I think what Will Martin sings is called ''Popera', love these knew words. You could always get a voucher for your Dad if you are not sure what he would like, I prefer to choose my own that way I get exactly what I enjoy listening to.

Moving right away from Pavarotti, I wonder if your Dad would like a copy of
Gala Concert
300 years of
St Petersburg.
Check it out on.. [www.amazon.com]
I don't think Will Martin will get him excited just yet. Maybe later when he's got more mileage. He might enjoy Paul Potts, but it appears to me that he may prefer something with a bit more grunt.!!
Does he just enjoy male singers and the whole gamut of opera or just enjoy listening to nice music, not necessarily opera.
Failing that, you might like to ring Marbeck's in Queen Street..I've already given the number on Trans-Siberian Orchestra query. They are fantastically helpful whenever I'm in searching mode for myself and others.
Goodluck Linda, it's difficult buying music for others at the best of times but I'm sure whatever you buy he will love because it's from you.
Oh, I also love listening to Welsh Male Choirs. Can blast them out all night.
