Full marks Lorna! It was fun hunting - I missed the train 'whistle' the first time. I really love the animated pictures.

PS Lorna - we stayed last Thurs and Fri nights in Whitianga. What a magnificent spot. It is many years since we have been there, so we saw lots of changes. Fab food at Mill Road Bistro - can recommend it!

Aren't I lucky, Dawn, to live in my little paradise? Another good place to eat, a bit more casual than Mill Rd but really delicious, fresh, made-on-the premises food is Jandals, at the top (beach) end of the main street. The new owners only took over in January and already have made a name for themselves, their lemon tarts now being famous here. A reasonably priced lunch, also delicious, is the authentic Thai restaraunt House of Chang Thai. It's upstairs in the building with the clock tower. Did you find the little Monk Street Food Market just found the corner from the Mill Rd Bistro? Organics and cheeses to rival anything you'd get at other city Deli's such as one beginning with M in Auckland.

Thanks for your recommendations of other places to eat Lorna, we will be back again one day so will keep these in mind. No we didn't find the Monk Street Food Market but it sounds beaut and you are lucky to have such a market where you are.

It's neat! When I clicked on the little box its colour changes to red - thought it might change the music tone perhaps, but doesn't seem to.

Have a look at Google - total lunar eclipse to be seen in parts of Europe, Africa, Central Asia and Australia. The web says New Zealand will miss the last stages of the eclipse because they occur after moonset.
