I have bought a second hand womble (Orinoco to be precise) for my sister as it was her favourite toy as a child (long lost), I wanted to knit him (Orinoco) a new red scarf - and I do have a box of unravelled wool (old jumpers etc - unravelled to be re-used) but I don't have any red - I'm not really fussed about nylon content or ply - just a ball or two of scarlet red wool so I can crack on and get this knitted before christmas - I am willing to swap I have cream, pale blue, etc - If someone can help me out here - I would be ever so grateful - Merry Christmas all - Lynley....

Orinoco was also my sister's fav!! I liked Madam Chalet.

A few years ago, I heard that Wombles were making a comeback, but it never seemed to eventuate.

They are still big in our hearts. I have fond memories of the wombles! When I was a child mum showed dogs and we were the wubbish wombles for the shows. Big groups of us spent the whole day collecting peoples rubbish (or wubbish ;-) )
and at the end of the day got a bag of sweets each.
Lynley, Majick and Sarla's grandma always has lots of wool so will see if shes got some womble red!!!
