I hope I dont offend anyone by putting this request up here....I am desperate to fiid something that can clean the stains from cat spray off our concrete carport at our back door.
Its our daughters cat ( living overseas she is not likely to have it back and we have had her for about 5 years.). I love this crazy cat with lots of prsonality and couldnt get rid of her but the spray and stains are awful.
It didnt start to happen until the grandchildren were toddlers and coming round about 3 yrs ago...seems a territorial thing as she isnt seen for dust when they come around ( they dont even see her...the cat doesnt like them)
I have tried handscrub, handy Andy, all sorts. Has anyone else overcome this problem of how to clean the oily/greasy stains?
We have tried all sorts of expensive things form the vet but to no avail. We do have 2 cats but they are ok friends. I look forward to any hints that can help.

Is it the unsightly stains or the smell? Nilodour is great for the odour. But not sure about staining, I've never had that. Also perhaps something to help the cat be less anxious and territorial, I know you can get an homeopathic spray (if that's your thing, it's not mine) that is supposed to help to make them less anxious.

I can get rid of the smell which isnt too bad by simply washing/wiping but it is the greasy stains all over the plae i want to remove...as much as is possible at least. We have tried most thngs the Vet can offer for anxiety. wondering if the automotive grease remove would do the trick or at least improve the unsighltly stains.

You could ring the Wet and Forget people to ask if any of their products would do the job of the cat. Could be a bit expensive, but could be used on other things like outdoor furniture cleaning etc.
We had cleaners at the cowshed in our milking days, one of which I would sprinkle on the concrete at our backdoor and it would make a beautiful job of cleaning the concrete and I think would also do the cat job as well. I need to ask my husband what it is as I cannot remember, but it is a common powder form (and it annoys me - its on the tip of my tongue but I cannot quite recall what it is)! Will get back to you.
Regards,
Dawn.

If it were me I'd treat the area with outdoor bleach "30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner" and other brands. Wet and Forget is a different product that is more about inhibiting mould and mildew growth. Look for something with sodium hypochlorite as the active ingredient. If you do try it, do wear appropriate clothing when applying, as it is bleach and will ruin clothes and shoes.

What about that product called Promagic Detergent & Degreaser that sounds like it might do the job. The website says: concentrated for removal of animal fats. See here:

If its not the smell - and just the stain - could you paint the concrete? using concrete paint the same colour?

I know you've already received heaps of ideas..............but I was putting some washing soda crystals in with our farm work clothes in the washing machine and I thought I'd be giving the cat grease area a scrub with the washing soda crystals and some detergent to get rid of them. Reasonably cheap to buy (our 4Square has it) and you can use the rest of the soda up in your normal washing routine. I won't feel offended if you don't want to try it though - it was just an afterthought!!
