For the knitters

I have 16 50grm balls of lovely woody green Crucci I bought for a jersey but am now thinking I would prefer a cardigan. Searched for ages on Ravelry and still going “maybe, maybe not”. So I went through my collection of knitting books and found quite a lovely Jo Sharp pattern - from way back.

Now here is my question.....drop shoulders. I notice not many patterns on Ravelry have these - i wonder if they make bulk at the top of the arms.

Any thoughts ?

I knit continuously and find dropped shoulders are much better fitting than normal sleeves. I also like raglans.
I find both of these look much better than the set in sleeves.

Totally agree valralph - as I recall set in sleeves were able to be unstitched when they wore out on the elbow.and turned around to live another day.

Dropped shoulders and raglans are way more aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks gals. I will get the books out again. Don't know why I always second guess myself!

Raglan & drop-shoulder sleeves are far more comfortable and non-restricting than set-in sleeves, too. I also find them more visually appealing.
