Cosy small Balcony

Has anyone made their balcony (mine is tiny) into a really cosy usable space for relaxing?

My balcony is about 1.5metres wide and 5m long. At one end I have a bench with the Webber on it and bits and pieces underneath including a spot the cat loved to curl up in. What I want to do is make it really cosy and comfortable so I can snuggly up with a blanket and read or watch something on my laptop.

Ive currently got a cafe style table and chairs thats just not that comfortable. I also have a KMART garden bench seat thats great to sit briefly but not really inviting.

Has anyone got any affordable ideas ? Im happy to remove both seats and table and start fresh.

I've got one of those zero gravity garden seats and it's wonderful for putting under my silk tree. I take out several cushions, my book, sunnies and anything else I think I'll need. Get comfortaable, read for as long as I can keep my eyes open, then rock back and snooze. It's a life of luxury!

My daughter asked me a similar question about her Takapuna balcony.I suggested standing back and looking at what others have, but I would have a big shrub in a pot and the chair that Lorna suggested.I don't know of the chair but it sounds good.Where do you get one Lorna?

Lorna, I've got one of those chairs at the bach and I love it. It's very easy to fall asleep as it's just soooo comfortable!

Thank you both I had never heard of the chair but I will look into buying one next summer for myself.

I was going to respond that perhaps it might be a good idea to buy it now, Marylew, as they are on special. But I used the link I posted above to have another look and I see there's none listed and it says 'no items with the words used in search can be found'. I must've seen the last of the stock and somebody has snapped it (them) up! The Warehouse haven't got any in stock, either, so perhaps they've been withdrawn for the winter. If they come back in Spring, who knows what price they will be. They were on sale at Briscoes for $79.99, but I can't remember how much I paid for mine. I bought it a couple of years ago and think it was around the $50 mark.

Kone, did you look at the fees for shipping to NZ? Horrendous!

Nope Lorna, too scared to. Bought an LP a few months ago costing over $NZ40 and with the shipping it was approx same amount. One of my mad moments when the blood ran faster then the speed of light to my head, knocking me off my sanity perch. It shows you what's out there though in terms of zero gravity chairs.
I wanted to add to my vinyl collection when they mostly cost around $7 before I started collecting CD's and now I'm gobsmacked at the hike in price for a new one. Lesson learnt.

I found this on Pinterest - it really appeals me. My mind in in overdrive how I can create this very cosy look.
Marylew - get you daughter to have a look at this, it might be what she is after too?
