I have just finished Sweet Sorrow by David Nicholls and would highly recommend it.
It is just the sort of book that I like, being beautifully written, characters who he allows to find happiness, it is not traumatic and has a positive ending.
But at the same time it isn't saccharine, it is just a well written book..
Guardian Review is worth reading as is the book.
Has anyone else already read it?
A reminder, he also wrote Us and One Day.

Thanks a Helen, I have just purchased the follow up to it & just started it also The a Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden, read a little & think it should be good too. I have also read Hitman Anders & the Meaning of Life. Whilst that was good didn’t really get a laugh the same out of it. He’s a great author, thinks differently to what I am used to.
