I have bought my granddaughter a piping set that was advertised in facebook. It was called a russian piping set.It has come in a little plastic bag and it doesn't look pretty enough to gift. Can any one advise me how to make it look better as a gift? I started to look online for a tin and then thought no the tin might rust when bits are put back.Any ideas please?

I keep my cake decorating things in a recycled biscuit tin and have done so for years. It hasn't rusted yet so I would go with the idea of using a pretty tin.

I have plastic tool boxes or tackle boxes with divided lift out trays at the top and good storage underneath.
I have all my cake decorating in one and cookie cutters etc in the other.
I often need to transport these things to work with me, so its very convenient and easy to keep clean.
Any plastics shops or reputable hardware stores should have something suitable.

I would recommend that you get something a little larger than needed so as your Grandaughters hobby grows and she acquires more equipment she will have room to store.
