Swapping oil.

I have a recipe for Sweet and Sour pork that states 2 cups of Rice bran oil.I don't have any could I swap it out for another oil?Would a swap make a difference to the end result?

That seems a lot of oil Marylew? You can swap, but I wouldn't use Olive Oil

Oh okay Irene,that I think is for deep frying the pork.Thanks I think maybe then I could use canola.I'm sorry that I have posted in the wrong forum but my computer is playing up regularly now.Thanks again.

Canola is just fine if that is what you have smiling smiley I hope it was a successful recipe.

thanks Jenna hopefully tonight.I tend to look at recipes online and print them out and then wait for the right moment.I tend to have to push myself into cooking something I haven't cooked before but I think tonight I might achieve it.A lot of you members are so talented and find experimenting a breeze.I admire you all.Thanks again.
