Bev, try closing down and re-opening. If it re-opens in Safe Mode, you have 3 options on the screen. Make sure you choose the right one. Can't remember what they are, but DOS is one of them, and not correct. When my pc opens in Safe Mode (after a power cut, etc) I just let it do its own thing. You will notice a countdown at the bottom of the screen - just leave everything and it should open correctly.

Good luck Bev, I'm sure it's going to be something so simple. I believe as your pc is opening, one of the very first pages has an option to 'pause' the process and it opens another window that allows you to choose which system you want to operate in. (F8, I think), but it's so long since I did this that I can't quite remember. Hope it's not too long before you're back to normal, whatever normal is in this crazy pc world.
