Hi there,
I have been thinking about this ofr a while now, but after reading the recent post about Dona Hay magazines I wanted to ask this.
What is a really good food magazine that has easy, simple recipes in it?
Cuisine? Essentially Food? the foodtown one?
One from a book store.
I think my aim in life is to collect recipes-lol
Many thanks
Zeetra

Is the Australian Table available in NZ?? I haven't heard of that one.
Foodtown mag is good and I buy Essentially Food everynow and then. I always have a browse through them and if I think that I'll use some of the recipes I buy it otherwise I leave it.
Donna Hay mag - I always have a look and buy the issues that really appeal. I bought last years Donna Hay Kids Issue (they do it annually) and that is really great for ideas. Will be definitely buying the Kids Issue again.
I quite like looking through Cuisine, but very rarely buy it. A lot of it I just wouldn't cook at the moment. Maybe when the kids are older and I have more time to experiment I'll be keen on it.
Will have to look at the Delicious mag that has been mentioned.
Cheers ,Wilm

Our local library has quite a few foodie mags. If you want the most recent, you usually have to pay something like $1 but older issues are free. I sometimes will get a selection of various ones to bring home and read.
I like Cuisine but often the recipes aren't what I would cook, but I enjoy their articles too.
Linda.

I always buy the Foodtown one and Essentially Food from New World - apart from this forum they are my main source of new recipes these days.
I cut out all the recipes and have them on bull dog clips of Mains/Salads, Desserts and Baking then when I want something new I just go to that pile and grab one. If I like it - then it gets written into my books - also named as above and I throw out the scrappy piece of paper.
Sorry if I sound too organized - but in the long run it saves so much time I assure you. Otherwise you have heaps of this little pieces of paper that invariably never get used.

Always look forward to getting my Foodtown mag in the post (just got it yesterday). I like the range of recipes and find them practical to make. I have a few E F as well and the "In the Kitchen" before they changed to E F. Still use those recipies to this day.
I also get Cuisine as a result of a free-bee subscription. Their recipes are more upper-cut as it were. I'm a great one for substituting ingredients let alone following recipes to a tee. Cuisine provides me with ideas to be tampered with. Yes, the family still lives
As my piles of mags grow (cos I can't bear to pull them apart), I have an index to locate the many recipies I have used from these very useful publications. All I ask is that they keep a good amount of recipies and not to overwhelm them with adverts
P.S. Hi Ma, has your copy of Foodtown arrived yet
