Has anyone purchased their real christmas trees yet, and if so how much did you pay? Last year we had a shock our usual $30 dollar tree from the cut your own place had gone up to almost $50, so now I am abit wary as to what they will cost this year.

They were $10 here in the Manawatu, already cut for you!
I have a nice artificial tree, so don't bother with a real one.

Our tree is tagged and ready to collect $15 in ChCh (and thats probably a bit dearer than most , many are around $10-$12). Who'd have thought they would vary so much in price around the country!

I tried out the road side tree sellers for the prices of their trees, and nearly fell out of mine, when the tree I enquuired about was $100. So we headed back to the christmas tree plantations out in Dairy Flat and paid $48.

Ok Rachel.... $free.... we drove around a few paddocks (with permission) and selected the pick of the bunch and my husband chopped it down (and then chopped half a foot of the bottom to fit it in the lounge). Ah the joys of living in the country!

10.00 for a great, bushy one here in Nelson (got to pick it and the guy cut it down for us too). Are all the $50.00 plus ones in Auckland?? What a rip off!!
