Particularly Perplexing Parsley Problem - 18 years ago
I planted several strawberry plants in a disused (I thought) part of my vege garden. Unfortunately the strawberries are now over-run by parsley. I am slowly uncovering them, but does anyone have a recipe for using up parsley? I'd hate to let it go to waste. Thanks.by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Food Talk
Re: Wot gets up YOUR nose ! - 18 years ago
My MIL says 'Mel-lin-gitis" instead of Meningitis - and the rest of her family copy her! This drives me NUTS! She also calls chemotherapy 'chemio' which also make me cringe...by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Clipart - 18 years ago
Do any of you know of good websites for clipart to use in my scrapbooking? Funds are a wee bit low after christmas and I can't afford to buy stickers (which I am addicted to!)... I am specifically (sp?) looking for cartoons of netball, cricket, birthdays & christmas. Many thanks!by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: Wots happened to the weather? - 18 years ago
Don't jinx it - it rained here for the first time in 6 months on 24th December, our house/stock well went dry and we had to drill a new one, and now our irrigation well is dry. Bring on the rain.by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

As I always seem to get distracted and miss the beep completely (as you do!) I tried putting the fruit in right at the beginning and found it still worked perfectly. Might be worth a try next time.by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Food Talk

Re: MELBOURNE CUP - 18 years ago
Every year I "back" two horses - I don't put money on them but pick them by name or a feeling. Every year since 1995 my two picks have come first & second, and yes, it happened again this year. I know if I put money on my picks they wouldn't come in!!by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

The Ashburton one is coming up in November I think. What part of the country are you in?by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: Home & Away - 18 years ago
Yes, weeknights. My kids watch it so I catch the odd storyline. ATM Kim is looking for his mother. I wish Hayley & Scott would find out they are parents together - that story is driving me nuts!by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: Coffee at home? - 18 years ago
Does anyone know (Helen?) where I can buy Mio coffee? It's an Auzzie brand, a packet came with my expresso maker & it's the best coffee I have ever tasted!by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Food Talk
Re: Dishwasher powder - 18 years ago
I've tried all the various powders on the market and go back to Finish Powerball time after time. It seems to be the only one that gets glassware really shiny. I found with powder & rinse aid my glassware always came out cloudy, no matter how much rinse aid was used, and 'baked on' food didn't come off. Unfortunately FPB is pricy, but if I hang out long enough it will always come on speciaby Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: Coffee at home? - 18 years ago
I used to be a coffee addict - real, fresh ground coffee, brewed strong & 'drunk' black. I eventually weaned myself off it due to a heart condition, but missed the taste. I started drinking plunger-type decaf coffee, but after reading about the nasty chemicals in it I have gone back to my first love, fully-leaded strong black coffee, but only one or two cups a day. No one likes a grumpy muby Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Food Talk
Re: Bed wetting solutions - 18 years ago
Lisa - my 7 year old daughter still occasionally wets the bed. I am not worried as I had an uncle who had this problem until his early teens & then grew out of it. You just have to basically ignore the problem - don't make any fuss as this hurts their feelings & seems to make the problem worse.by Rachel - Ashburton - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
