Re: Christmas Cards. What do you do? - 5 years ago
I also made cards using Hallmark software, don’t think they are available now. I then made hand made cards going to a card making class which I enjoyed. I now would like some way of doing them again on myPC, but does anyone know of any available programmes?by valralph - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Re: Tips for dealing with difficult people - 5 years ago
I have belonged to an assortment of clubs and groups and have found there’s “one of these” in every group. They do love to be heard and especially noticed. I find them very aggravating, but as I say there’s always one.by valralph - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Re: Steam Mops - 5 years ago
I have a Kmart steam mop which was cheap but I wouldn’t be without it. I find it simple to use and very efficient. It’s all I need to keep my floors looking nice.by valralph - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: For the knitters - 5 years ago
I knit continuously and find dropped shoulders are much better fitting than normal sleeves. I also like raglans. I find both of these look much better than the set in sleeves.by valralph - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Gardening - 5 years ago
I decided to read the garden forum today, I normally only read the first two groups. I am so disappointed as I couldn’t even understand what I was reading. Quite mysteriousby valralph - Garden Lovers Forum
Re: Pikelets - 5 years ago
Thanks so much for the recipe Ali. I belong to 2 groups and it’s always hard to think of something to take along for morning tea. Pikelets will be a real winner I’m sure. Thanks again.by valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk
Re: Unused medication - 5 years ago
I’m wondering what is scary about Tramadol. I have been taking it for about 3 years and find it excellent for my condition. . I’m not criticising but wondered what is wrong with it as I find it so beneficial. It has been said it can become addictive but so can a lot.by valralph - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat
Re: Duck fat - 5 years ago
A little seems to go a long way, the first time I put too much in I think. Is this correct?by valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk

Re: Cats - dry food vs wet food - 5 years ago
I’m off the subject, sorry, but the kitten we adopted on Tuesday hasn’t appeared for food or anything. She’s hiding in a wardrobe, under couch or bed. Not coming out at all and if she does runs like mad when she sees me. The good part is she found the litter tray which she’s used twice. I’m wondering how long this will go on for and if she will accept her new home. We have a 2 week time to retuby valralph - Foodlovers Non-Foodie Chat

Re: Melbourne foodie weekend - 8 years ago
For lunch we love going to Hopetoun tea rooms in Collins Street in the city. Just a small place and busy but worth going to. Every time we go to the city we eat there. Myer in the city also have a very nice lunch cafe, sorry can't remember the name but it is lovely. I don't actually go to the casino but lots of restaurants there, we like The Kitchen Workshop. You will love The Lion King, it'sby valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk
Re: Jelly Whip. - 8 years ago
Sorry I disagree, Tpandav. I know it's not fashionable now but the children still enjoy it as do some older ladies at our bowling club. I find the old recipes especially out of the Edmonds book are nice and reliable. I know I am old fashionedby valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk

Re: Lolly cake - 9 years ago
I do make the all sort slice and like it. What I meant was that all sorts would be too firm to make Lolly Cake as Fruit Puffs are much softerby valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk
Lolly cake - 9 years ago
I would love to make this lolly cake but fruit puffs aren't available in Australia unfortunately. Someone suggested licorice all sorts but I think they would be too hard and not as nice.by valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk
Re: A trip down Memory Lane - 10 years ago
I go down memory lane a lot lately as although I make the new recipes I find that I prefer the old tried and true recipes best. I will be trying the peanut biscuits with the cashews as a friend gives me bags of cashews so am always looking for ways to use them. Thanks for the tip.by valralph - Foodlovers Food Talk
