Creeper

We need a creeper, Summer flowering, for a back wall. Not too rampant, tho we can keep it in check. It's a 2 mtr space, already has the wires in place. It will be between a red bouganvilia and a white star jasmine. I fancy a Clematis, but it's full sun and I believe they need dappled shade and a cool root run.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted. Thanks.

Unless it is well controlled your jasmine will take over so you need something tough. Have you thought about a passionfruit, great flowers and fruit as well? There are hundreds of climbers do a search on the web, choose something exciting and then find out if they are in NZ.

I have a Virginia Creeper growing along the railing of my deck, which while it doesn't flower, the leaves in summer are a beautiful green and in autumn they turn fiery red before dropping off. It's just coming into leaf so if you want some cuttings, now is the time to do it.
