Make two smaller cakes instead of one large - what size tins?

I normally make a 26cm carrot cake, but would like to make two smaller ones so I can ice one and freeze one - they will not be made to layer or anything.

What size tins would I need to use to still have a resonably high cake, without it looking like my baking has failed.

Same with the celebration chocolate cake (this is devine thanks Helen) I make it in a 30, but would like to make two small ones but again am not sure which size tins to use.

If anyone can help that would be great thanks.
